Well, I guess it's about time for an update... This post has no order... As it comes I will write. Yesterday Morgan and I went to see the new Twilight movie. I liked it a lot. However- I'm about to give part of the movie away so if you don't want to know don't read-, I was amazed at the part when Edward tells Bella he wants abstinence before marriage. The whole theater like flipped out and we heard several mocking remarks about how that's ridiculous and no one does that anymore. Ha! How crazy is that?!? I guess when you're in a college theater you should expect that... but it blew me away.

This is my prego picture! I'm past the point of just being fat. You can see the belly! Woot woot! I'm slowly loosing sight of the lower half of my body.

Um, have I even posted that we are having BOY yet? Well, probably everyone knows already. We're still debating names. The top runners are Peter, Henry, Jeffery, Logan, and Michael.

Here are some pictures from when we went to Cali with my family. It was sooooo nice to get away for a little bit and have a break.

Man life has been crazy lately. Morgan and I are having a baby in 4 months, moving in 1.5 months (to an apartment we don't have picked out yet), and trying to survive this month! haha. I finally hit the great part of pregnancy. My belly is showing, I hardly ever feel sick, and I eat... ALL the time :) Life is good.

Is it Just me or am I pregnant?

Sorry... probably all of my post will have something to do with me being prego.
So, Morgan got home yesterday from a wedding in Florida (if you want to see what I did while he was gone go to Shari Tate's blog). He wanted mac 'n' cheese so I started boiling some water and noodles. Then I went next to Morgan laying down... and I fell asleep! When I woke up I freaked out went to the stove and the noodles had completely soaked up all of the water. I have never seen that kind of pasta so big before. It was really mushy and gross. I didn't know it was possible to mess up mac'n'cheese but I somehow managed it.
Today has been crazy. First I had my monthly doctors appointment at 10 :30. When I got there the receptionist let me know it was at 9:30!
Then, I went to the atm to deposit a check. And once I got to the T I realized that I left my debit card in the machine! When I walked back it wasn't there. So I had to call and get that card blocked.
And I know there is something else that I did today that was dumb but I can't remember what it was!
So... I'm trying to figure out if it is me or if it's because I'm prego. haha. Either way I'm glad I get to have some laughs!

BTW- Dr. appointment went great. Heard little Pope's heartbeat and got some blood drawn for the "quadscreen". The quadscreen is supposed to tell people how likely it is that the baby will have downsyndrom. I don't know how I feel about it. It actually doesn't make sense. Even if there is a high probability of being downs theres still possibility that there won't be. Weird.

I'm still prego :)

Just a warning... This post will be long. Mostly because of pictures though. First things first, I got a mom hair cut. It was a free cut because I donated it. I told the lady to only do 10 inches; I think it ended up being around 12 :( It all worked out. Here is my hair before (random Rosie O'donnell in the backround. ha)
Here is my initial reaction! I've never had my hair above my shoulders since like 4th grade.

Morgan and I went to the aquarium with some friends from the ward yesterday. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.

We got to go to the temple this week too. The temple is such a great experience to have each week. And it is especially beautiful right now with all the colorful flowers.

This is the father of my child and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And here is the first signs of me showing! It's just a small bump now but growing quickly! Ahhhhhh! There is a baby in my stomach!!!

As most of you know... Morgan and I are going to be parents! I am just about 10 weeks now. It was really cool to get an ultra sound. Morgan and I were able to see the heart actually beat in the baby. Probably one of the most humbling experiences of my life. Isn't the picture so cute? It looks like a little gummy bear!

With this joyous occasion comes... um... side effects? haha. All you moms already know about this. For example, after waking up twice in the night to go to the bathroom, I woke up this morning wanting cereal but we were out of milk. Despite my craving I had an orange and my lovely husband made me eggs and toast! After I went to brush my teeth... and it all came back up (it happens almost everytime I brush)! After Morgan left for school I went for a walk and then to the store. Everything in the store looked and smelled so gross except for the puffy twisty cheetoes. Had some of those before I even left the store! Once I got home and unloaded I ate a pizza lunchable. Right now I can't decide if I want pickles or if I'm not hungry. Usually when I'm not eating I'm sick. Ugh, thank goodness for saltine crackers though. I had to restock :)

Besides the sickness being pregnant is great! I'll share with you some of my favorite phrases:

"Morgan, can you get that? I'm pregnant."

"Can I have some more? I'm pregnant."

"Will you lift that for me? I'm pregnant."

"How's it going Sadi?" "I'm pregnant."

The list goes on but you get the idea. The due date is November 11th, 11/11/10. We don't know what the gender is for another 2 months or so. But we are currently accepting suggestions for baby names :)

This is so much fun! I'm scared out of my mind but I can't think of anything else I want to do more. Woohoo! Go Team Pope!

Valentines Day!

Thanks to two very awesome people (that don't call me back) jk-- Morgan and I went to the Melting Pot for Valentines day! It was sooooooo much fun. Morgan let me get this dress as my present :)

When we got there, there were flowers waiting for me :)

I cooked the food while Morgan cut it and fed me :)

This was the Friday before Valentines day. On Sunday we went to church, came home and watched LOTR, and then ate shrimp! Woooo, so much fun. It was a great weekend for us to just be in love. Morgan and I both agree that Valentines day is much better when you're married :)

I think I'm about due for an update. Morgan and I had a great 2 week vacation visiting families. Married life is wonderful and I'm learning more about myself all the time.

I've learned that I'm a whole lot happier if I stay on top of things. When I let the house get dirty I always feel like something is weighing on my shoulders... I'm getting better at keeping things organized :)

Morgan has taught me that it's more enjoyable to laugh than get mad (I'm slowly getting better at this)

I'm getting better at cooking! Some of my recent dishes: Cheeseburger meatloaf, sweet and sour chicken, bbq ribs, chicken fajitas... It's fun!

A lot has gone on since the last time I blogged so this will be a somewhat brief update. These first couple pictures are Morgan and I one night at Harvard. He has some pretty intense courses so the weekdays usually consist of him going to school around 10 and then coming home around 10. Give or take a few hours on some days. It's hard to have dinner together all the time sometimes I'll take it over to him when I don't have work. A lot of times I'll have dinner in my backpack and both our temple bags and we'll head straight to the temple from Harvard. It sure is an adventure. I'm learning a lot and we're having so much fun. :)
haha. I just love this picture. Morgan's math/science/English skills are so beyond me.

He was trying to explain how the current of an electric circut was related to the resistance and voltage. I thought I learned that in high school... haha. Ya right!

Me going to work. Working at Target has definitely been a blessing. I'm not saying I wanna work there my whole life but we are so glad I have a job. I've been trained to work in food avenue, as a cashier, in clothing, and in the pharmacy. This way I can get a lot of hours... It's good. Work, but good.

This was my birthday. I had to work but we had the morning together and that was fun. He made me breakfast and I opened presents. Everyone is so sweet! Thank you!!!!

My mom, Riley and Emmee came to visit the week after my birthday. I don't have any pictures but my mom does. We went to the aquarium and had a lot of fun. I love them so much! I miss home a lot. Morgan and I are really having a great time here. We love it. The church is great and the people are sooooo nice! I just had my orientation at Target... yes, I got the job. I'm really excited. It feels like a great atmosphere and a great company to work for... plus 10 percent discount :) Morgan is taking 3 Engineering classes and 1 computer science class. Can you say... crazy? Yes. He is crazy, smart, and I love him!!!!! These are pictures from Friday night. We walked to the beach and sat on some rocks and just talked. It was awesome... and surprisingly not too cold.

Not only is he smart, funny, and good looking, he likes to lift huge logs for fun! What a man.

Saturday was one of the best days we have had here. We walked to the beach and ate Chinese food on the sand. Morgan also practiced his bird chasing skills and worked on his 100 meter dash times... and I watched him. So fun :)

Then we went to the public library and checked out books and a movie. We can get discounts to museums in Boston. Can't wait to use them!

I'm just going to give a shout out to good husbands... namely... mine. For those of you who don't know him, he is probably the most caring, sweet, loving, and genuine man I've ever met. Our first week here he gave me a "Congrats on your new house" card with a note. The other day he brought home a white rose (my favorite) for no special occasion. Today I came home and he had cleaned up the house. I while ago I went to get something out of the freezer and there was a note that said "I love you" on it. Oh, and he does the dishes all the time. And there are so many other little things he has done. I'm just so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross and that we both had the courage to do what we knew was right. I know its just the first 4 months but everyday is a new comfirmation that I am doing what is right for me and I have the most perfect person for me right by my side all the time. So give it up for amazing husbands! Tell them you love them and appreciate all the little things they do for you... I'll do it too!

Ok, so moving into an apartment with no car isn't as bad as you think... kind of. My parents came to help us move in and we had sooooo much fun. First, a huge shout out to all you target gift card givers; we loved them. After we bought all our stuff we decided just to do it. We pushed our target carts about a mile to our apartment! :) It was so funny. We don't look like hicks do we? haha. For the record, we took the target carts back.

And the girls went shopping! My mom and I went and got groceries... and seriously almost bought the whole store. We didn't get pics of this event because we were all holding on to probably about 8 Shaw's bags in each hand... and yes, we walked it home. I think we made a great first impression on the neighborhood! But we did make some good dinner. Stuffing chicken, potatoes and bread!

Then we got this great deal on a table through craigslist... still no car. So we went over and each carried a chair back with us. :) No pics because our hands were full. ha.

We eventually rented a zip car... which was initially a nightmare but then turned out ok to pick up the rest of the table, a couch, and a chest that Morgan and I repainted black. This is the final product...

It's just the perfect place for Morgan and I. Hopefully as time goes on more pictures and decorations will be put up but for now it's what we call home. God really played a role in getting us here and settled. I love this place.

Well, we're not actually IN Boston; we're in Revere which is about a 45 min. T ride for Morgan to get to Harvard. But we love it here. We are 5 min. walk from the beach and a 5.234 min. walk from the T :) This is us on our walk to church. 3 miles there!... we found a bus for the next week. Morgan insisted on this picture. He's so cute.

We also saw this bench on our way... haha. wow. Enough said.

My Life Would Suck Without You!

Ok... I guess it's time to start actually communicating with people other than my husband. It's been a while. The wedding was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! In the morning I was able to make a covenant with my Heavenly Father and my loving husband to be sealed for eternity. I wouldn't want anything else either! :) After we had a wonderful luncheon put on by Shari Tate. That night was the reception... Soooo much fun! We greeted people for a while then danced the night away! So many people showed up and it was beautiful. My parents and my family helped out so much to make the day perfect. Ali did my hair, Carlee made my sign-in book, Halee made me laugh, Riley jammed out to music with me, Emmee was so nice to me... Everyone just pitched in and I really can't thank everyone enough. For some reason my computer isn't uploading the pictures... I'll put them up later.

We went on our honeymoon to Disneyland and had sooooooooo much fun! It really is the happiest place on earth. All the pictures from that were on a disposable camera so they won't be online.
After Disneyland we went to Logan, where Morgan is from, watched his brother graduate and had a "Meet and Greet". It was way fun!
This whole summer we've been working for Sean and Shari Tate. Living in my cousins house and taking care of their 3 dogs. It's been a great summer and on Tuesday, the 25th we are leaving to head back to Boston!

Not me! But guess what? It's true. I'm engaged to marry Morgan Thomas Pope on May 26th in the Mesa, Arizona temple. Although this is not what I planned by coming out to Boston, I couldn't think of anything better. Morgan has become a light in my life that I will always rely on. For those of you that haven't met him, he is 6 feet tall, really cute, and incredibly genuine. He got back from his 2 year mission to Taiwan this last August. I wish it was possible to put into words what an amazing man he is. Lucky for me these past 4 months I've been able to get to know Morgan better and experience his goodness. And in May, we will be able to share our lives together. I don't know how I got so blessed to be with him, but I sure am grateful. I'M GETTING MARRIED! :)

Well, I have a lot to catch up on. Here are some pictures from the last month. My friends threw me a surprise birthday party on the 7th. It was really great. I'm finally at the point where I feel comfortable here. I volunteered last sunday for a thing called "Read and Romp". There were a bunch of little kids there and it's to encourage reading... I met the WRITER of the Clifford the Big Red Dog books! It was so cute. Him and his wife were so sweet and apologized for the connection to my dad's name. hehe. My family came and visted me last weekend as well! It was so great to see them. They got to see me play ultimate frisbee and we went the the Boston Children's Museum with my roommate Emily. Good times. This weekend I went to an 80's dance with my friend Morgan at Harvard. My legs are feeling it today! Sorry it's been so long since I blogged! Crazy college life! I miss you all!!!!

Alright, let me explain this first picture. I have found my anti-drug, ok, I would never do drugs anyway, but this is what I've found to fill my longing for sports... ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!! Yes, laugh all you want, but here, it is a legit sport. I'm part of the club "Lady Pilots" but it's basically the BU team because only BU students are allowed on. It's seriously so intense. The scab on my leg is from my first tournament. I "bid", which means I dove for the frisbee either to catch it or prevent someone from catching the disk. As a result of that, I got a pretty good turf scar. haha. Any of you that know me well won't think me putting up a picture of my leg is weird, for you that don't know me... I'm just weird like that. :) This is the view of Boston I get when I go to practice... AMAZING! I know. Sometimes when I'm walking places (which is all the time because you walk everywhere here), I just like to stop and smile. Ah, it's such a wonderful place. I probably walk on average around 3 miles a day. I miss my truck!!!
This is my cute little church building. I am in the University Ward. There are lots of members from Harvard, MIT, Berkley, BC... All together we make a great and strong ward. Church is 40 minutes away. However, institute and FHE are held on campus. There are 4 other freshman, and 5 juniors, and 2 seniors that go to BU and are mormon. So I've got a pretty good member base... but definitely different than home! Oh, and out of all those, there are only 2 boys that are mormon here at BU. haha. But really, they are already becoming like family and I know I have support. It's great.

Overall things are great here. I miss home... A lot a lot a lot! But I'm holding out here. I love keeping in touch with everyone. I can't wait to visit! Ah, that sounds weird "visiting" home.

Alright, I know it's been a while... So, I'll attempt to catch everyone up. I'm officially in college!Ahhhhh. I don't know, somehow I thought being in Boston would make school work cooler or something, but that's not happening(I didn't really think that. ha.). I always have so much homework. I'm learning time management, somewhat, I still ask my roommate what my schedule is for the week. ha. This is a picture of me and my roommate Emily. I couldn't have asked for a better one. We get along so well and always have a good time. She's in two of my classes so we keep each other in check. I got an 80% on my first psychology exam... I'm just happy I didn't fail! jk. The food here is great... I've just been trying to avoid the freashman 15!!! The dinning hall is really good, I've been here for a month and I go there twice a day and I'm not sick of it. Actually, I want to go eat right now. ha. But nothing like home cooked food... I want mamma's cooking!!!! Or at least some good mexican food. No place here has it like it is in AZ! Ok, I'll use this space to get it over with... Boys. They are... cool? ha. I've been out a couple times, but nothing serious promise! There's lots to do here. Walk through the beauty of Boston Common, eat at Quincy Market in Fenuil Hall, lay in the sun at the BU beach. It's just great. The weather is starting to take it's turn. I wore a sweatshirt all day yesterday and had to turn my airconditioning off (which means I had to close my windows). I still don't have a big jacket so I'll be getting on that soon.

I got to move in early and participate in the First Year Student Outreach Program. I was in the issue area disabilities. And I couldn't ask for anything better seeing as I am planning on majoring in special education. Jess and I were partners at the Aspergers Association of New England. There we spent the day socializing, drawing, eating, making t-shirts, and just having fun. Jess seemed very timid and stand-offish at the beginning. As time went on we really connected and before she left she asked me if I'd be coming again to volunteer. Ah, it was a wonderful feeling to know that we did build a bond and she had just as much fun as I did. Btw, Aspergers Syndrome is very similar to Autism. They have social problems most of the time. However, some of them can be geniuses such as Albert Einstein! There are both high and low functioning forms of it as well.
My group at FYSOP decided to take a picture of a huge handicapped sign! haha. I really grew close to these people and have hopefully formed friendships that will last through school and community service activities. FYSOP ended tonight... sad :(

This was Marjorie. I can't even explain what I felt this day. She was blind from a form of cancer that destroyed her vision. This was the Greater Boston's Blind association. I was able to help Marj finish a bag she had been making from last winter! I also led a group of them in chair exercises and sang some pretty good songs :) But really, Marj and I connected so well and it was just incredible to hear about her life then and her life now.

Overall, I can't even describe the feelings I felt and gratitude I have. I went into this thinking I was going to be a good citizen and great person by volunteering my time and money for these people. Ah! I quickly found out it's not me, they are the great people. People with disabilities endure things that I can't comprehend. They have every right to despise life but most choose to endure and look at the blessings they have... and I realized the blessings I often overlook. And from what I've seen, most of those who have decided to look at the positive things despite their disabilities, also believe in Christ. I don't think that is coincidence. In the words of my friend bailey, I think its a godicence.

Ok, lets get one thing right... Not ALL of those bags are mine. My mom, Kelli, sisters, Carlee and Ali, and Carlee's boyfriend David came to move me in. Thank goodness too! One thing I learned, packing your life into suitcases isn't possible unless you've got a sister there to zip up or sit on your bags! At this point I was just happy to be in Boston :)

Before I moved in we got to tour Boston for a few days. This was at Old North Church in the North end. Doesn't mom just look heavenly? We took some good pictures at this church... this is one of the few.
Ali and I look incredibly good as statues don't you think? This was also in the North end close to an Italian restaurant we ate at where we met Tony. He says the mob is just a myth... I think it was a cover up.
Beaches in Mass! It was BEAUTIFUL and had that awesome sand that just made you want to bask in the sun all day! It's not too far from campus so if I come home with a tan... or more freckles, you'll know why. However, winter is coming soon. Lets not even talk about how I'm going to handle that.
Yes! It's Fenway Park or should I say Pak. Not only do they not pronounce their R's but they also use the word "wicked" in place of the word very. So often you hear phrases such as "wicked cold" "wicked sweet" "wicked cool". I might adapt to that native trait along with -hopefully no one is too hurt by this- becoming a Red Sox fan.

My mom and Ali so graciously finished unpacking and setting up my room as I was at a volunteer program Monday night and Carlee and David had already left for home. I said goodbye that night. I already miss everyone at home soooo much! But beginnings start with goodbyes. And now it's time to start... in the hub of the nation! BOSTON BABY!
